Location Based Entertainment

Powderkeg creates high quality custom and licensable content to the
ride and attractions market. We create our films, whether custom or
self-owned, in high definition so they can be played in a wide variety
of formats and venues ranging from film output to computer resolutions
to HD, PAL & NTSC. We are a small creative company
capable of developing unique and creative scripts based on a client's
initial creative concept, and then fully realizing those ideas as concept
drawings, storyboards, and 2D & 3D animatics. Whether those ideas are
attraction designs, or a new simulator ride, PowderKeg has consistently
proven itself to be a leader in the field of Location Based Entertainment.
We are experts in Stereoscopic 3D, and PowderKeg owner and Creative
Director Eric Wilson has worked on well over half a
dozen stereoscopic productions, consulted on some, and even taught college
level classes on the subject. There is far more to creating a compelling
stereoscopic experience than simply adding another camera. There is
a science to 3D, and PowderKeg not only knows the science, but is leading
the way in stereoscopic 3D productions.
While PowderKeg is fully capable and excited about a wide range of subject
matter, a natural niche seems to emerging in the areas of Sci-Fi and
Horror and, oddly enough, Christmas. If your project falls into these
areas, you owe it to yourself to give us call.

Licensable content:
Among our licensable films are two versions of SolarCoaster,
which is a roller coaster ride through our solar system. These two versions
are an "Edutainment" version, in which a small robot flies along and
presents "factoids" about our planets throughout the journey, and an
"Amusement" version, which is the same ride without the informational
component.
PowderKeg has also produced "Critical Depth: Lost in the Triangle",
a deep sea adventure that takes riders into the depths of the Bermuda
Triangle. This film is a natural fit for a wide variety of locations,
ranging from science centers and aquariums, to the parks and 3D theaters.
Beautifully rendered in stunning 3D, this film is a visual feast as
well as an adventure.
PowderKeg also has the exclusive rights to distribute A TinkerDoodle
Christmas, an award winning family oriented Christmas film
in which the new head elf, L. Fastidious TinkerDoodle, causes mayhem
in Santa's house on Christmas Eve. Produced for Santa's Village, a wonderful
family theme park in Jefferson New Hampshire, PowderKeg was contracted
to create the entire project from concept and script all the way through
to projection hardware. Created to be reminiscent of the old Rankin-Bass
style of stop motion animation, award winning stop motion animator Tom
Gasek brought his fantastic character animation skills to bear on the
project. Combined with high-tech computer graphics, eye popping 3D and
PowderKeg has signed non-exclusive distribution agreements with SimEx/Iwerks,
Hitachi, and FX Simulation. We are
always interested in signing up new distributors, attraction owners
and hardware vendors to distribute and show our content worldwide. If

Custom Content:
PowderKeg also creates custom ride films and attractions for clients
and other production companies. Whether you need production services,
or a full concept development from script to screen, PowderKeg can provide
the highest levels of quality, responsive customer care, and the best
prices in business. Have worked on custom content projects with MaxFlight,
Doron Precision systems, Santa's Village,
and Flight Avionics.
Both Eyes Towards The Future:
PowderKeg is currently in production on a stunning stereoscopic attraction
theater film. This film will be 8 - 10 minutes long, high definition,
and fantastic 3D. The innovative concept cannot be revealed yet, but
the film will be sure to be a phenomenon.
Since PowderKeg is a highly technical as well as creative enterprise,
it stands to reason that we would conceptualize and invent new ideas
for attractions, films and effects. We have recently filed for a patent
for a new concept in location based entertainment that is sure to take
simulation theaters to the next level of entertainment.
